First panel, painted in acrylic. I'm still wresting with the medium here and this is looking very comic booky so I'm interested to see how these change as I make more.
This is a project to create story-based art in an installation space. We like to think of it as a cross between comics and church painting. (much of our inspiration has come from our experience in the chapels in Italy)
We will be installing works in Williamsburg near N9th and Bedford starting in mid July and at UMASS in September.
This blog is to collect and show our thinking process as we work out the concepts and constraints. These are guided by our own experiences as we try work on our own versions of content. We are trying to find a balance between functional limitations and creative freedom. We are open to your views.
